While few phones worldwide can use two physical SIM cards at the same time. In fact, most phones that support dual SIM have this feature disabled in the US market.
While US consumers do not use dual SIMs very often, international travelers and small business owners use them to activate their primary phone number while providing additional phone lines or connectivity anywhere in the world.
While we recommend the best dual SIM Android phones you can buy, some of the devices listed below only come with one SIM card slot in some markets, so be careful not to accidentally choose the single SIM version.

10+ Best Dual SIM Phones
Nowadays, you can also combine one physical SIM with one eSIM for dual SIM functionality. However, for simplicity, we have only included models that support two physical SIMs.
1. Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Samsung’s flagship family seems to be getting released earlier and earlier every year, but one thing that’s constant is that there are always three dual-SIM models to choose from. The Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra don’t look all that different from their predecessors, but the main changes are on the inside.
All three models feature dual-SIM functionality, but the setup varies depending on the home market. In some markets, the Galaxy S24 series supports two nano SIMs, while in others, like the US, you’ll need to combine a nano SIM with an eSIM connection.
All three Galaxy S24 models come with premium features, aside from the all-important dual-SIM support. Whichever you choose, you’ll get a dynamic 120Hz AMOLED 2X panel, HDR10+ support, and an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The Galaxy S24 offers 8GB of RAM, while the premium Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra offer 12GB and up to 1TB of storage, respectively.
We’re still waiting for a chance to test the Galaxy S24 series, but we expect big things. The updated processor is dedicated to AI features, and we’re curious to see how the 50MP 5x telephoto sensor compares to the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 10x 10MP predecessor.
Of course, the Galaxy S24 series includes some of the best Android phones you can buy, and as such, they command a premium price. The Galaxy S24 starts at $800, while the Galaxy S23 Plus and Ultra follow at $1,000 and $1,300, respectively.
2. Nothing Phone 2
The first Nothing Phone to hit the US market, the Nothing 2 boasts a unique industrial design that’s both stylish and functional, with a separate configurable LED zone on the back for custom notifications and ringtones. Performance is a bit lower than flagships, and so is the price.
The best dual-SIM US phones come from manufacturers without a huge US market presence or carrier presence. No company has done this more faithfully than Nothing, which has never officially released a phone in the US.
A quick look at the phone and you’ll notice that it’s clearly trying to stand out from the rest in a bold way. The transparent back reveals a rather ornate housing for the internal components, adorned with an array of LEDs known as Nothing’s signature Glyph interface.
It’s also the first phone in recent memory to feature a completely black-free version, with a slightly white, somewhat robotic white version and a very sleek-looking dark gray.
The Glyph interface is certainly neat. You can set different sections of the LEDs to create custom visual ringtones and notifications, and a handy Flip-to-Glyph feature turns off all sounds and vibrations when you place the phone on the screen.
I’d say the configurable LED layout is a groundbreaking feature, but it’s not all that practical. But as far as window dressing goes, it’s arguably the coolest thing we’ve ever seen.
In fact, it’s so cool that the ever-extreme case maker DBrand has released its own stylized version of the Nothing Phone’s back panel, which has been a skin for many of its flagship phones over the past few years.
Nonetheless, the Nothing Phone 2 is a worthy first attempt by a newcomer to the North American market. The Android implementation is only slightly different from the outgoing, and the deviations are clear and reasonable.
If you prefer stock Android, you can actually choose it during the Phone 2 setup. While the entire phone isn’t as unique as its back panel, it’s still a great phone with near-flagship-level performance, but it costs the same as a phone a step lower.
3. Sony Xperia 1 VI
Sony’s latest flagship, the Xperia 1 VI, continues its photography-centric design. The phone is still thin, impressive, and more powerful. Naturally, it comes with a great display and a powerful camera array.
But you know why it’s here? Yes, it has dual SIM. However, it’s quite expensive, so if you’re not interested in photography, you might want to check out the other options on this list before deciding to buy.
4. OnePlus 12
If you want dual-SIM functionality, we recommend the latest OnePlus 12. It also has a bunch of other great flagship features. In fact, the OnePlus 12 is a bit different from its predecessors in that it’s more of a flagship phone. Before this one, OnePlus devices were premium handsets that made significant sacrifices to keep the price down. This one, however, does almost nothing, and its $900 price reflects that.
The OnePlus 12 packs a punch with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, an impressive 120Hz display with QHD+ resolution, a beautiful design, solid build quality, and great battery life. Even better, it offers fast 100W charging (80W is limited in the US). And this time, OnePlus has added wireless charging. And it’s super fast at 50W! OnePlus’s camera is actually pretty good, too, with Hasselblad tuning this time around.
It’s IP65 rated. That said, there’s not much you can sacrifice for a great phone at this price point. It competes with the best in every other way, and it’s still priced lower than its direct competitors, which can easily cost $1,000. If you’re looking for dual-SIM capability, this is a good choice. It has two nano-SIM slots and an eSIM.
5. Oppo Find N2 Flip
The Oppo Find N2 Flip is still a very good foldable phone. It matches the Motorola and Samsung in almost every spec, and even beats them in camera performance and charging speed. Add in the sturdy, gapless hinge and capable cover display, and you might wonder if it’s not the best flip phone out there after all.
In fact, the only real downsides are that there’s no waterproofing or wireless charging, and Bluetooth performance is a bit lacking. Despite its minor flaws, the Find N2 Flip is easy to recommend, and a great dual-SIM option. If you can find one, the newer Find N3 Flip is also worth considering.
6. Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra
The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a great premium flagship that falls just short of its competition. It has a large, gorgeous and bright display, premium build quality, a great camera suite, and a battery that should comfortably last you all day, even for power users.
It supports fast wired charging and supports dual SIM, making it a great all-rounder.
Asus decided it was time to upgrade its flagship device, and the new Zenfone 11 Ultra is the result. It boasts a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is perfect for browsing, using your favorite social media apps, and playing graphics-intensive games.
Despite these changes, Asus has kept the dual SIM slot of its compact predecessor, as well as the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack that many people love and use every day.
In terms of performance, the phone features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and the device doesn’t appear to slow down or overheat even when pushed to its limits. It also comes with a few gamer-oriented features borrowed from the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra’s camera is impressive, rivaling the likes of the OnePlus 12 in terms of performance. However, it’s important to note that the device shares the same camera setup as the ROG Phone 8 Pro. That means you can expect to see overly sharp and overly processed images with some artifacts, especially in low-light conditions.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra boasts a powerful 5,500mAh battery that should last a full day for power users. It also supports 65W fast wired charging that can charge in less than an hour. It also supports 15W wireless charging. It comes with almost stock Android software, which provides a clean and fast user interface.
The only downside is that Asus only provides two years of OS and four years of security updates. So while you won’t get the latest features, you’ll at least get a regularly updated device that’ll be protected for a few years.
7. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is our third favorite phone right now, but since the Google Pixel 8 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro don’t support dual physical SIMs, Samsung’s flagship takes the top spot in this particular ranking. And it deserves it, no doubt. It’s more powerful, probably has a better camera, and includes stylus support.
The camera is one of the best on any phone, with a 200Mp main camera backed up by an ultra-wide lens and two telephoto lenses with different zoom levels. It’s a shame that the 12Mp selfie camera disappoints the phone, but otherwise the photos are excellent.
The expansive 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display offers both a high WQHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and with S Pen stylus support, it comfortably fills the productivity niche of previous Note phones.
If you like big phones and can afford Samsung’s prices, this is probably the best. It’s not for everyone, though. Now, you might prefer the upgraded Galaxy S24 Ultra.
8. OnePlus 12R
The impressive set of components included in a package starting at $500 has made the OnePlus 12 our most popular flagship killer of the year. Just a year ago, you would have paid close to $1,000 for something this well-equipped. But this is brand new, packed with features, and built to last.
Of all the phones we tested in 2025, a good number had nearly identical hardware to the 2025 OnePlus 12R, and in some cases, had inferior displays.
Most of these phones were leading the manufacturer’s lineup and cost nearly $1,000 compared to the 12R’s meager $500 MSRP. In that light, OnePlus’ mid-range offering looks downright incredible, but in some ways it still competes with the most expensive of the lot.
For example, the screen is as bright and colorful as the more expensive ones, making it easy to use even in direct sunlight, and it’s capable of playing your favorite movies, shows, and cat videos with gusto.
It also lasts a long time between charges and charges faster than most on the market. Just three minutes on the included 80W charger will get you almost 15% more battery That’s great.
It’s not without its flaws, but none of them are major compromises. We’d like a more reassuring IP rating (the full OnePlus 12 fails here too), and the relatively standard camera does a decent job, but it’s not quite Hasselblad-level.
We’re also not a huge fan of the middling promise of three years of Android updates, especially when the competition is going much further and it’s clear the hardware will hold up well.
Overall, it’s a flawless phone, with user-friendly touch features that make it ideal for everyday use. With a phone that has a mute slider, you’ll always appreciate the ringtone (or lack thereof).
The OnePlus also offers a face unlock that’s faster, more consistent, and less clunky than any of its Android rivals. Asus’ Aqua Touch also makes an appearance here, making the 12R surprisingly easy to use when water droplets get in and generally mess with the digitizer. Simply put, for $500, you can’t get much better than the OnePlus 12R.
9. Samsung Galaxy A14
Not all budget phones include dual-SIM support, and it’s even rarer to find one that supports two physical SIM cards and great battery life. That’s where the Galaxy A14 shines.
For a very reasonable $150/£179, you get the familiar Samsung experience. Solid build quality, intuitive software experience, respectable performance and a decent camera. It’s a great phone for the price, and on top of all that, it can fit two physical SIM cards.
The screen can be a little disappointing with its 60Hz refresh rate, but overall, it’s the best dual-SIM phone you can buy for the money.
10. OnePlus Nord N30
The cheapest phones usually require some pretty big compromises, but the Nord N30 performs pretty well for a phone that costs $250 new. The Snapdragon 695 won’t win any races, but it does a pretty good job at games. And the 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a display that beats its price point complete the package.
At this point, you can see a trend the best dual-SIM phones in the US are coming from relatively small companies in the North American market, with few or no carrier partnerships. OnePlus scores again with the budget-friendly Nord N30, one of the few devices in the $200–$300 range that doesn’t have any obvious deal-breakers.
The hardware isn’t the most advanced, but it’s perfectly fine for the way most people use their phones. The main camera is probably the biggest black eye, and even that isn’t terrible, though it might take a few more tries to get a sharp shot without the white balance being off.
Battery life could also be better, but most people should be able to get through a full day, and the N30’s 50W charging makes fast charging particularly effective.
11. Asus Zenfone 10
The Zenfone 10 is a powerful flagship in a small package, with few compromises. The 5.9-inch display is one of the smallest on the market, especially for Android, but overall, the phone is similar in size to the iPhone 14 or Galaxy S23.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and up to 16GB of RAM mark this phone as a serious performance phone, and it also offers excellent battery life that puts other compact smartphones to shame.
The gimbal-stabilized main camera is impressive, especially at night, but you can find better cameras elsewhere for the same price, and there are even cameras with telephoto lenses. It’s also unfortunate that Asus will only be providing two major Android updates, although it will at least get security support until 2027.
FAQs
How do dual SIM phones work?
One thing I noticed when buying a dual SIM phone is that manufacturers rarely provide information about the features. They don’t actually tell you how the dual SIM feature works, whether both SIMs support 4G/5G, or even what size SIM cards it accepts.
You can never guess. You have to contact the manufacturer or check the spec sheet, reviews, or forums to find out this information.
In all of the dual SIM phones I tested, both SIMs are always on standby (called dual standby phones), but only one SIM can be actively used at a time. This means that either SIM can receive calls or texts at any time, and there is no need to actively switch between the two SIMs or reboot the phone.
However, if you are receiving a call from one number while another number is calling, there is no option to silence the ringing or put the first caller on hold. The call just won’t succeed.
What is the difference between Dual Standby and Dual Active?
A Dual Active SIM phone uses two modems to receive calls on two numbers at the same time. If you’re the one who wants to make calls or send texts, Android has a standard SIM management menu that lets you specify which SIM to use for voice calls, video calls, messages, and mobile data. You can specify a specific SIM for each of these tasks, or leave the setting set to Always Ask.
One area where there’s a lot of confusion with dual SIM phones is data connectivity. While some dual SIM phones can support 4G or 5G connectivity on both SIM slots, you can only use one SIM for data connectivity at a time.
Unlike calls and texts, data connectivity typically can’t be on standby for both SIMs. Instead of choosing one when prompted, you’ll need to specify which SIM to use. However, some phones allow you to set the other SIM to switch if the first SIM can’t connect.
By default, if you have a data connection on one SIM and a call comes in on the other SIM, the first SIM’s data connection will be paused.
Can I use dual SIM with a microSD card?
If you want to take advantage of both the SIM card slot and expandable storage, your options are a bit limited. Most phones with expandable microSD storage also offer dual SIM, but the SD card usually has to use the second SIM slot, so you’ll have to choose between storage and SIM.
