Wise Phone Review

Wisephone will be best for a teen’s first phone, and I would recommend it as an excellent option for families who can afford it.

Wise Phone Review

In this review, we’ll look at Wisephone’s features and functionality and what users say about their experience using the device.

Inside the box

The phone, power cable, and USB plug adapter are inside the box. Considering it was a test phone, it was missing the user manual and the tools needed to easily access the micro SIM card slot. Both come standard when you purchase and ship your Wisephone.

However, the phone had an external cover installed to protect the phone. It is important to note that this cover is not standard with the phone and must be purchased as an add-on. We’ll talk about the protective cover later in this review.

Design

Wise Phone boasts a clean, clutter-free appearance with a simple, understated design. It has a traditional smartphone form factor with a rectangular shape and rounded corners. The front of the phone consists of a large touchscreen display surrounded by relatively thin bezels. The back of the phone has two camera lenses and an L.E.D. flash.

The Wisephone feels well-made and durable, with a solid build quality. It’s not waterproof, but it protects against splashes and spills. The device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass screen that helps prevent scratches and cracks.

Camera

Wisephone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It’s not a high-end camera, but good enough for basic photography and video shooting. The camera has various features, including taking photos using a flash and self-timer.

There is also a panoramic mode and the ability to take photos in HDR. One limitation of the camera is its lack of zoom capability, which may disappoint some users.

Overall, Wisephone’s camera is fine for everyday use. However, it may not meet the needs of professional photographers or those who need advanced features.

Performance

Regarding hardware, Wisephone is powered by a Qualcomm SDM632 Snapdragon 632 (14nm) processor and has a camera suitable for taking photos and videos. However, it lacks features commonly found in other smartphones, such as a high-resolution display and advanced camera features such as optical zoom.

RAM and Storage

Wise phone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be extended through a Micro SD Card. Wisephone’s overall performance was generally positive, with users noting that the phone was fast and responsive.

Wisephone’s processor and RAM allow for smooth multitasking and fast app launch. However, some users have reported occasional lags or freezes, especially when using resource-intensive apps or games.

Battery life

Wisephone boasts impressive battery life, with users reporting that they can use the phone for an entire day without charging it. This may be due to the phone’s energy-efficient Wise O.S. operating system and lack of power-hungry apps and features. Wisephone also has a removable battery, which can be easily replaced.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, Wisephone offers both cell service and Wi-Fi capabilities. However, some users have reported problems receiving a solid cellular signal or maintaining a stable Wi-Fi connection in certain areas.

Software

The Wise O.S. operating system is a simpler version of Android designed to provide a simple and clean user experience. It lacks many features and apps commonly found on other smartphones, such as social media, streaming services, and gaming apps.

Instead, the focus is on essential communication and productivity tools, including phone calls, texts, emails, calendars, and notes. Wise O.S. also includes privacy and security features such as encryption, password protection, and remote wipe.

Users can also customize and control the apps and features on their phones to reduce distractions and screen time. One notable feature of the Wise O.S. operating system is the ability for parents to control their children’s phones remotely.

This includes setting limits on screen time, blocking specific apps or websites, and setting a bedtime when your phone automatically turns off.

The phone also has a location tracking feature, allowing parents to check their child’s location anytime through an online portal. This can be useful for tracking kids when they are out or finding a lost phone.

Price

Wisephone costs $399, and there are no additional subscription fees. This price range is much higher but it’s worth it. It is essential to note that Wisephone has amazing features and limitations that save you time.

You can save up to $75 if you order WisePhone through this link.

Wise phone user experience

Many users praised the Wisephone’s long battery life and ability to go for days without charging. The minimalist design and lack of distracting apps are also considered positive aspects of Wisephone, allowing users to focus on productivity and avoid constant notifications.

Features of Wise phone

Remote control and location tracking features were helpful as they allowed parents to give their children a smartphone and monitor and manage their children’s phone use.

Some users have reported connectivity issues such as Wi-Fi connection issues or dropped calls. There were also complaints about camera performance, with some users feeling the photos were low quality or blurry.

The Best features of Wise phone

Wise Phone Specifications

1. Wise smartphones are simple to set up and use.

2. It’s an unlocked phone; you can choose a carrier and data plan that fits your child’s needs.

3. The phone is completely sandboxed, preventing access to the internet or social media, access to online games, pornography, or other topics that are not age-appropriate. Additionally, you cannot download third-party apps to your phone.

4. Once sent, SMS/MMS messages cannot be deleted by children, so parents can review sent and received content.

5. Minimal notifications: Provides only notifications for phone calls and messages, significantly reducing interruptions from dings or haptic vibrations.

6. All phone numbers and text messages sent or received are saved and available for parents to review.

7. The basic features that come standard with the phone can be turned off or on by parents depending on their child’s needs.

8. G.P.S. metadata related to where the photo/video was taken is scrubbed. If your teen messages photos/videos to others, they cannot be used to track your child’s location.

9. Considering the Wisephone is built on the sleek-looking Motorola Moto E platform, it doesn’t carry the same visual stigma that most teenagers feel about owning a flip phone.

10. You cannot use your phone to tether or hotspot Internet access to a secondary device, such as a laptop, tablet, or other phone. Although adults may want this option, you can use Wisephone’s data plan as a gateway to provide full Internet access, preventing teens from connecting to non-sandboxed secondary devices (such as laptops or iPads).

11. This is a phone designed for privacy. After reading our Privacy Policy, they will not collect or sell any of your collected data or usage information to third-party vendors.

Conclusion

Most teenagers get their cell phones because they want their parents to be able to stay in touch with them if needed. Well, Wisephone will fit those needs perfectly, with all the access and distractions of a fully functioning S.M. phone.

WisePhone Review

We acknowledge that critics probably categorize Wiseph ne as a minimalist tool. Yes, that’s right. That was the creators’ intention, and we applaud it. Given the age at which we recommend these phones be used as first phones (preteens and tweens), we argue that an age-appropriate, minimally guided approach to online life technologies is promising.
