The Nokia 2720 Flip aims to fulfill that need by evoking nostalgia for old-school flip phones. While it boasts a familiar flip phone design and large buttons, its talk time is somewhat lacking. The 2720 Flip boasts a reasonable price, excellent voice call quality, making it one of the best feature phones available.

Nokia 2720 Flip Review
Design and Display
The large, backlit keys are easy to see, but the lack of space between them can be uncomfortable for those with larger or shaky fingers.
The Nokia 2720 Flip has two separate screens. The outer screen allows you to view messages and caller ID, and unfolding the screen reveals the main screen and the classic T9 keypad.
The main screen is small at 2.8 inches for smartphones, but it’s sufficient for viewing text messages and social media messages. When you’re done, you can fold the screen to end the call.
There’s no selfie camera, and the main camera is only 2 megapixels. However, it’s sufficient for sharing everyday photos and videos on social media, or for sharing with family and friends.
The keypad features large, square buttons. These are clear and backlit, making them easy to see even in low light. However, the lack of space between the keys can be a problem for those with shaky hands.
Camera
Unfortunately, this phone’s camera isn’t particularly impressive and doesn’t compare to the cameras of the leading smartphones on the market.
However, this phone does have a 2MP single-lens main camera, which is quite different from other smartphones that have a front-facing camera and a selfie camera. While this camera isn’t suitable for serious photography, it’s sufficient for quick snapshots.
Performance
Nokia Fold in San Francisco using T-Mobile service. Call quality was generally satisfactory, above average for a phone in this price range.
Voices were mostly clear, powerful, and natural-sounding, but some calls sounded a bit thin and distant. The dual-band 2720 is not available outside of North America.
People on the other end of the line could tell we were talking on a cell phone, but overall, the volume was loud and the call quality was good.
Some people actually found the volume to be too loud, making them sound like they were speaking too close to the microphone, while others found the sound a bit thin.
The speakerphone was audible to us, but due to the position of the main speaker, it muted when I put the phone down. My friends on the other end had a hard time hearing me on speakerphone.
Battery Life
If there’s one thing I remember from old Nokia phones, it’s that they had batteries that could last for days. The Fold’s rated battery life is 3 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.
Tests show a talk time of 5.05 hours. FCC radiation tests show the Fold’s digital SAR is 0.96 watts per kilogram.
Connectivity
Unlike previous models, this Nokia flip phone supports 4G networks, which is a crucial feature. It also has Wi-Fi and hotspot connectivity for basic internet use.
It also has GPS, a micro USB slot, and Bluetooth. It comes pre-installed with several social media apps to help you stay connected on the go.
Conclusion
Overall, the Nokia 2720 Flip is a great device. While it’s not cheap, it offers a unique experience, and if you fit one of the use cases mentioned above and have a budget, I highly recommend it.
It won’t replace your smartphone, and even a cheaper feature phone can in some cases, but its design and connectivity make it an attractive choice that straddles the line between a regular phone and a dumbphone.
